Well it's been super cold here in Midland yesterday and today. We were supposed to go to Lubbock this week for a doctors appointment but had to reschedule due to snow and iced over roads. We got to bust out the snow booties for Grace though!
We've had a lazy couple of days, just staying in with the heater turned up high and the blinds closed. We experienced our first full night of sleep last night! Grace sleep for close to 8 hours; I had forgotten what a full nights rest does for you! Here she is relaxing in bed while momma does some chores.
Sitting like a big girl on the couch. She's growing so fast,
we can't believe it's already been over 6 weeks!

One Month Old!
It's hard to believe that Grace is already 1 month and a few days old! She's growing so fast and gaining new skills everyday. She's recently realized that she can make all sorts of funny sounds (besides crying) and is enjoying the reactions she gets from mommy and daddy.
Last night she experienced our first low grade fever; it was probably worse on us then it was on her. We're still fighting a little sickness but she is much much better. Thanks to our personal murse Lex, thank you for working it through with us at 10pm!
Jonathan started class today at Midland College. He's auditing Anatomy & Physilogy 1 and 2 so hopefully it won't be as stressful and time consuming as taking them for credit. He's trying to prepare as much as he can for the first classes of dental school. It's hard having him gone more from the house and it was such a blessing to have him home for the first 5 weeks, I don't know how people do it alone!

Happy Belated New Year!
We're a week and a half late, but Happy 2010! We have been so busy these past few weeks but we're finally able to settle down and relax with baby Grace. After Christmas we went back to Lubbock and began the horrible horrible process of packing up our apartment to move down to Midland. You don't realize how much stuff you've accumulated until you pack it into cardboard boxes and haul them down a flight of stairs! But thankfully we had a close friend and Jonathan's mom, dad and little sister come to help us out. We are getting things put away here at Jonathan's parents pool house where we will stay for the coming months until dental school starts (where we get to pack again and move to New Orleans--fun, fun). We are so grateful for a place to stay!
Grace is growing so quickly, her face is so much chubbier then even just a week ago. Tomorrow she will be 4 weeks old! I can't believe it! Since we moved we had to change our pediatrician (Dr. Stripling was amazing) but we were lucky enough to get my old pedi doctor Dr. Nabulsi, we have our next appt. on Feb. 16th. She is sleeping up to 5 1/2 hours at night, which doesn't sound much to people who don't have newborns, but it has been a blessing for our sanity! Jonathan and I joke that she must be very curious because she always has her hands up to ask a question, even in her sleep.
Yesterday, Jonathan and Pops put together the crib that Nana and Granddad got her, Grace watched/slept through the process of assembly. Last night was her first night in a real crib and she didn't seem to notice a difference. I'll post pictures later when I can figure out how to transfer them from the camera by myself.
Well, we are off to HEB to get groceries, have a blessed day!
